11.2 oz./ 330 ml. brown, slender, longneck bottle. Freshness date on back label of 10/07/04. I guess it’s still fresh, even though it’s out of date. Poured out a golden amber color, not dark by any stretch of the imagination. Thin, fast fading white head barely left a thin matting of lace on top of the beer itself. Aromas are of sweet malts, pipe tobacco, slight rustic barnyard, caramelized sugars, and cotton candy. No hops aromas or flavors either. Tastes are of mostly malts, along with a slight caramelized sugar. Some vanilla and lactic wheat malt notes as well. Alcohol is prevelent as it is swallowed, you can feel it in the back of your throat. It is rather brash and unrefined, alcohol wise. Not too smooth at all. Leaves a burning sensation in the back of your throat. Medium mouthfeel, slightly sweet on the tongue. Finishes rather sweet for my liking.
