My local bottle shop in Topeka (Devlin's you ROCK!) has Magic Hat Demo Black IPA for $2.99 a six.
Does this mean that the term "Dark Cascadian Ale" is FINALLY dead?
Remember, folks in Topeka are the same ones who bred Carrie Nation.

Inquiring minds want to know...

PS - Props to John Dean and the Blind Tiger Brewery and Restaurant for GOLD in Maibock at the WBC!!!!!

CDAs are not dead, rather, coexisting next to black ipas. You will however be challenged to find the hops in the Demo...

For 2.99/6, my guess is it is old and there are trying to get rid of it. If that is the case, the hops have likely dropped out and now it tastes like a porter.....

Surprisingly, still rather tasty. And, it was hopped in the english style so it was rather drinkable and not a hop bomb.

If that's the case, I would not call a CDA.
