Bush de Noël (Scaldis Noel)

Sun Jun 26, 2005 1:31 pm

25 cl brown bottle. Lots of fancy foil for the labels. Poured out a deep amber / mahogany color. Tan colored head was sparse. Aromas are of burnt straw, huge oakiness, lots of tannins, some vanilla, red wine vinegar, and alcohol. Flavors are of Brettanomyces funk, vinegar, oak barrels, and lots of alcohol. Some bizarre spiciness present also. Maybe it’s cinnamon. Whatever it is, it doesn’t belong here. Thick mouthfeel at first, until the alcohol kicks in, and thins everything out considerably.
