I'll tweak my suggestion.

Go get another one. Stash one for many years. and drink the other. or attempt to drink it at least

You should at least try it. I didn't hate it, its just A LOT. It's overwhelming. Drink it. But don't drink it late night style after a few. You won't want that. A lot of people like this beer a lot. Who knows, you might dig it.

Unfortunately it's a 6 hour drive back to where I got it. My wife has been giving me hell that I should have gotten 2 bottles. However I'm broke and these where $9 a bottle. I've set it aside for now. Maybe one day I'll be in the mood to drink it.

Shit, Lufah-

How much did you spend on gas driving 6 hours only to get 1 stinking $9 bottle of cough syrup?

I guess if The Asshat fits.....

(j/k) I'm sure you got something else, right?

I was visiting my inlaws.

Anyway I did it. I don't know if I will be able to drink the whole thing. It's ok in sips, but not great or anything. I totally agree with the cough syrup statements. I think I may pick up another bottle next time I see it and put it back for like 10 years and see how it is :)

In general, I'd agree with what's being said here about DFH. The 60 Minute was one of my first "ah-ha" beers, and I found hops. Actually, my first comment to my friend was something like, "holy shit, this beer smells like homegrown!" :D But, as I explored more of the beer world, they have dropped in my book, with only a couple stand out beers (Raison D' Etre being my favorite).

But with regards to their 120, I've only had it once, and that was maybe three years ago, and I remember coming away with a fairly positive impression. I remember being really suprised at the amount of bitterness/hop character they crammed into a 21%+ beer, and thought it actually tasted like a beer as opposed to something like Utopias, which comes across more as a spirit. Perhaps they've had fermentation issues as of late? I'll have to revisit it.
