Crooked River Island Hops

Sun Jun 26, 2005 1:54 pm

A summer wheat ale from crooked river. Served in a 12 oz. bottle. Specs: This Kristal wheat beer is only available from May to September. It is a great beer that disappears off store shelves quick, fast, and in a hurry. A lot of people must wait for this beer every year, because I have a hard time finding it some years. It pours out a beautiful golden color, with a tight white head of foam. The head slowly disappears, leaving a ring of bubbles around the rim of the glass. Aromas are of wheat malt, slightly lactic smelling. Hop aromas are prevalent, with an emphasis on aromatic hops. Tastes great, a slight acidity to it, with a hops bite that will take your breath away, especially when you get a fresh batch. Find some when you can, but don't buy it all up. Save some for the rest of us poor saps.
