Cisco Whales Tale Pale Ale

750 ml. brown champagne bottle. No freshness date seen anywhere. Loud hiss when it was opened. Poured out an orangish yellow color. Humongous, loose white head comprised of super fine bubbles. Over carbonated to the max. I had to use a spoon and scoop off the head just to be able to drink it. Slightly hazy. Aromas are of faint background hops, spritzy carbonation burns the nose when smelled. Slight maltiness, and aromas of orange peel. Not much more than that. Tastes are of prickly carbonation, malts, and faint hops. Yeasty bite to it as well. Fizzy mouthfeel, bites your tongue from being so over carbonated. Finishes prickly, and slightly bitter. Nothing to write home about here. Points off for being so over carbonated.
