It's going to be WAAAAYYYY too smokey. Tumbler probably has something like 1-3% smoked malt max. Your recipe will be more like a Rauch beer.

I made a similar recipe last year and no one that tasted it mentioned the smoke in it.
Sierra Nevada uses less than one percent of fresh (smoked on site) malt. The smoked malt I have is much less fresh and probably not as strong.

I did a clone of this last year based on the info provided on SNs website.
I went with just 3% smoked malt in my clone and it was way more evident than in the Tumbler
you're at about 9%, don't think its gonna work out

I'm sure it will taste great. Just not like tumbler. But then I am a smoked beer junkie.

My local shop does not turn over his smoked malt that quick, I've used it before compared to the stuff I get from NB or B3 and it's not nearly as strong. Also it depends on the age of tumbler you get. I just bought a 6-pack that was about two weeks old and the smoke is considerable

If its wrong I'll tweak it... Just another reason to brew more

so my clone is close. Not cloned but close. It is slightly too smokey. Next time I will probably cut the smoke back to 1.5 lbs, maybe 1 lb.
