My Christmas break was spent building a collar for my keezer... long story short, the temperature probe was removed during setup and was never put back in. So, my kegs froze while I was out of town. Nothing leaked thankfully and no beer was removed during the freezing (i.e. I did not dispense any concentrated beer) and they are now thawing. So, what are the odds that the beer is going to be in decent condition when it thaws?

Lighter beers may not really cause any notice.
Bigger beers and Hoppy beers may have a small bit of the flavor drop off.
ALL will be clearer -- your Hefeweizen will now be a Kristalweizen.

You wouldn't have happened to have a Doppelbock in there? It might be fun to "save some in a different container" before it all melts back....

I had a Tripel, Dubbel, Weizenbock, and Black Butte Clone in there.

I was lagering a Kolsch and a Doppelbock strength Maibock in there... perhaps a silver lining to this story

The Kolsch had a little leakage, hopefully that won't be an issue. If so, at least I'll escape with most of the beer... and the thing about mistakes like these - you don't make them twice - especially when you're bottle of vetical epic 08 bursts

Eise'd Weizenbock sounds AWESOME!!

Had the same problem with my fridge. I didn't change it from cooling to heating in time for the Danish winter.

I had a tweaked Janet's BA and a ruby colored ale (Kind of a Biere de Garde, but not quite in style) with a clear aroma from Strisselspalt.

The BA hasn't changed but the Garde has changed to a orange brownish color and the hop aroma has changed quite a bit. Still a great beer but not the beer I aimed for.

I had a wheat beer as well. It looks like a pilsner, but the taste and aroma hasn't changed.

So what category do I enter my Kristall Weiss Eisbock

On the plus side the collar came out beautifully and the cobra taps have been relegated to strictly picnic duty.
