Janet Undercover?

(apologies if already mentioned)
Alright Tasty, my first 9 of 10 gallons of homebrewed Janet's already empty and only just now I opened a Lagunitas Undercover (investigation shut down) Ale, and I'm now wondering...
who leaked the idea to who?

-Janet's - lovely hop aroma, smackintheface bitterness, sweet/brownsugary deliciousness in a brown paper wrapper. (not that wrapper, just the color, assholes)

-Lagunitas - lovely hop aroma, smackintheface bitterness, sweet/brownsugary deliciousness in a CLEAR (because FILTERING DOES SUCK!! ...(because it's difficult and i'm also a lazy wus)) brown paper wrapper, and a different almost lemony fruit post-aroma.

So let me hear opinions, you lazy hapless... Are the voices inside my head correct about the being completely bonkers.... thing?

blah, blah, blah over with...
Holy crap Tasty's Janet's Brown recipe is awesome. That's gonna reside in my permanent brew set list. Expensive hop and grain bill, but I'm not going to let that stop me from another 20 or 30 thousand brews of this gem.

I think you've been drinking too much JBA and you're now associating all malty yet balanced beer with it. Now the Lagunitas Wilco Tango Foxtrot on the other hand, does share some of the same flavor components along with the balance. We'll be interviewing Jeremy Marshall for an upcoming Lagunitas Can You Brew It series. Then we'll find out the real story.

Tasty
yep, yep, yep, yep

exactly! when i had my first sip of wtf(bought here in the south so probably not the freshest) i thought, "damn - lagunitas is trying to clone janets brown". no disrespect to lagunitas and again it was a beer off the shelf(not cold) but tasty wins again!

I thought Stone's Sublimely Self Righteous was similar to the JBA I made too.
