Family Reunion in July. Brewing 5-10 gallons for it. Debating between another run at Tasty's APA or a shot at Captain Lawrence Xtra Gold....votes? I have some WLP530 on-hand, but am leaning toward APA since I love it, its tasty and I've brewed it once before. More questions to follow on best method of portable dispensing.

The Captain Lawrence Xtra Gold is excellent but so is the Tasty APA. It really depends if you want to be hop forward or not. If your crowd isn't the hoppy beer type, then maybe the Xtra Gold. I balanced APA that I love from CYBI is Terrapin Rye Pale Ale. I think it's a great example of an APA. The batch I made was extremely popular amongst other homebrewers. I'll be making that beer again for the summer.

Thnx (again) Tasty. Since I am not familiar with the Xtra Gold, I decided to reattack the APA and split the batch again. THIS time I am going to grow up both starters on stir plates and decant before I pitch.
The hot weather down here lends itself to the American Craft Beer Wheat I just brewed (but with about 5 more IBUs and a late Chinook addition) and APA.
