ipa hop schedule review?

Thoughts on the recipe, mainly the hop schedule

7lbs extra light DME
1lb cane sugar
1lb rye
6oz melanoidin

1oz chinook at 60
1oz magnum at 60
.5 libery at 20
.25oz amarillo at 20
.25oz cascade at 15
.5 liberty at 15
.5 amarillo at 10
.5 cascade at 5
.25 cascade at flameout
.25 amarillo at flameout

1 oz columbus dry hop
1 oz amarillo dry hop

wyeast1450- cl50 dennys favorite

i know the libery seem a little out of place but ihave an oz i want to use up

I'd swap the Chinook with the Columbus. (ie, Dry hop it with the Chinook and Bitter it with the Columbus.) Chinook is a really nice flavor/aroma hop, but its bittering can be rough.

If you do that, you may need to work the IBUs down a bit, as usually Columbus has higher AA than Chinook. I'd use just part of it to hit the same IBUs and then use whatever is left over as additional flavor/aroma late hops at around 5 mins.

Not really sure if the corn sugar is necessary. Looks good, otherwise, though.

Ending up going with this hop schedule:

.75 chinook @60
.75 magnum @ 60
.25 amarillo @60

.5 vanguard, .5 amarillo, .25 chinook , .25 magnum @15

.5 vanguard @ 10

.5 cascade @ 5

.5 amarillo @ flameout
