Grab root beer extract. Mix with water and sugar. Keg and force carbonate it. Also if you get that kind that looks like bark on the box, mix that up to 5 gallons even though the box says 4. A bit too strong otherwise.

In your opinion who makes the best extracts??? I've seen a couple different makers. My son wanted me to make some root beer and cream soda.

I've only tried the little brown box, says something like Homebrew Root Beer Extract. I use the two liter method and its not bad but it always seems to over carbonate and not be real sweet. I've tried champaign and american ale yeast both. I wish I could just keg it and not deal with the yeast. I've heard that the Sprecher extract is great. A buddy has been experimenting with real root beer. I'll see if I can get his recipe.

I've used the 'Gnome Extract' from morebeer and it was really good. Much better than the generic extract from the homebrew shop.
