Mac & Jack's African Amber Clone

Brewing this up on Saturday. I got the recipe straight from the BYO clone issue. My question is....Why are they recommending a 90 minute boil? This will be my 4th Maris otter brew in a row and I've only done 60 minute boils.

I would say it's probably not super-crucial, but you could just add a couple ounces of melanoiden malt if you were feeling super lazy. But I'd just go with the 90 minute boil.
Mac & Jack's makes some killer beer. Their IPA is pretty great too, but I haven't had it in a looong time.

Thanks. I'll just go 90 minutes.

I've never tasted the beer but I've heard so many good things about the Amber..and I like ambers.

I live a few blocks from Mac & Jacks, and still haven't been by to see the place. too bad they don't have a pub or tasting room. I feel like it's a crime that I haven't had any of their beers besides the Amber
