It's some kind of no pants pale ale. Drink it. Tell us how it turns out. Was the malt just domestic two row, or something like marris otter?
You'll be fine. Nottingham ferments similarly to the wlp013, and other malt forward strains good for english beers. As long as your cake isn't contaminated in anyway you'll be cool.

all from grambrinus pale malt (2-row i take it)
Well i took a hydro reading and finished bottling, it went all the way down to 1.001
I was wanting this thing to be about 4% but my friends sure as hell wont complain with it being 5%
my hydro sample was pretty good, the toasted flavor really pulls through with some caramel, some bigger late hop additions would improve the beer.
Its a good start to the world of pale ale's

Should be a drinkable no-pants ale. Probably has a little touch of red from the tiny amount of black patent.
You'll be fine.

double check your hydrometer in distilled water, at 60 degrees... that seems really dry for nottingham.
drink up, and let us know.
