Hi, new to the forum and have not been able to come across a recipe that I would like to brew. If anyone had a recipe for a 5 or 10 gallon all grain batch it would be great.
The beer I want is an Imperial Rye IPA. A double Rye IPA might work as well.
Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Jim

that is a great recipe. ive brewed it several times and used the malt recipe base for experimentation a few times.
has anyone ever made it with flaked rye? I used 3# flaked the last time i brewed it and it had an amazing oily/velvety mouthfeel. the pre boil had that same layer of oily scum that you get on a bowl of oatmeal. i know a protein rest would break this down, but im kinda interested in experimenting with it.
does anyone have much experience with this?

I brewed this recipe saturday and everything went well except for the yeast was apparantly very happy and blew all over the place . This is the most active fermentation I have ever had. I had a question of when to add the dry hops. The fermentation is down to about one bubble every thirty seconds now in the airlock. Do I dry hop now or wait till I rack to the secondary to add the dry hops?

Be patient, wait till it's pretty much done. Then rack to secondary for the dry-hopping.
