How many beers have you made from Brewing Classic Styles?

They are great recipes. I just gave the book as a gift.

The Scottish was a big hit with the father-in-law. His taste is beyond BMC but mostly prefers malt balanced beers. He has said that every one of my beers was good (nice guy), but he about came out of his seat when he sipped the Scottish! That was pretty gratifying.

I can't wait to see how the Schwarzbier turns out. I brewed that one for myself!

I was thinking how much better a movie it would of been if they did something based on someone brewing all the recipes in Classic Styles instead of that douchey Julia & Julia thing earlier this year.

7 so far. All have come out pretty darned good...the schwarzbier is coming up next.

Original bitter, janets brown ale, german pilsner, cream ale, oatmeal stout, old ale, hefeweizen. The cream ale isn't really my thing, but I'm trying to convert a friend away from his crap beer!

Out of 25 AG batches, I would say 20 of them have been from BCS or at least the recipes from the Jamil Show. Some of them have been from BYO.

I haven't had a lot of luck with the BYO articles/recipes. Especially the "clone" recipes. I really like the Zymurgy recipes though.
