rice syrup solids

Tue Sep 25, 2007 1:44 pm

my local shop owner talked me into trying rice syrup solids in this apa i'm putting together in an effort to make it sorta crisp and dry. my question is how much of this stuff do i use in a five gal batch to get that desired effect? or does that depend on gravs? i'm sure someone here has used the stuff.

use rice solids as you would extract... so depending how much you need to dry it out replace as a percentage... start low and work your way up I say.... say 1 pound for a normal 6 pound batch.
Anyone who has done this has WAY more info than me.
That's my way of saying I'm guessing.
