Honey Malt Substitute

I was planning on brewing Jamil's blonde recipe, but my LHBS does not sell the honey malt his recipe calls for. I was just wondering if anyone had some suggestions on what malt I could substitute the honey with.

Thanks,
Tim

I would go with on of the specialty barley malts...
Seriously though there is a grain comparison thread on here somewhere... search for "honey malt" you'll probably find something.

Honey malt is about 20-30 Lov. and is described in BYO as a "sort of crystal/melanoidin hybrid". That might be a good place to start. Perhaps a combination of equal parts of both melanoidin and a light crystal to replace the honey.
