It sounds like an interesting yeast to try out. If I didn't have 4 other packs of yeast to use up (8 or 9 batches of beer), I would consider getting some. Let us know how it works for you.
Where did I hear Charlie talk about this yeast? It was well before WL released it. I think it might have been on a Basic Brewing podcast. If you're interested in this yeast you might want to check that out.
I just used it in an Amber Red that I am doing. I am fermenting it on the cool side 60f I wanted to stay away from the apple flavor esters. I will post how it comes out when it is finished.
