Hi all

I was wondering what the equivalent of Special Roast was over here in Europe. I want to do a couple of recipes that called for it. But it’s unavailable over here; I was wondering could it be amber malt?

Any information would be appreciated

A Crystal 50 seems to be the closest I would think but here is Briess stat sheet on the malt.

I don't speak from experience but I thought the Biscuit Malt from Castle (Belgium) would be close to the Special Roast. Both are suppose to impart a Biscuit flavor according to the various Homebrewing catalogs I have.
