Aroma/Flavouring Hops

I know that bittering hops should be measured by AAU, but do the same calculation occur for aroma/flavouring hops?

Ex.

Recipe calls for 1.5oz 5% Aroma Hop = 7.5 AAU

if the hop I buy has 3%, then 7.5 / 3 = 2.5oz

Short answer: Yes

Longer answer: If you are just looking to replace some hops in a given recipe then it should help in a pinch however if you are really looking to modify and/or make your own recipes I think you should consider using IBU for your calculations as it takes more factors into consideration. Even using the AAU (A.K.A HBU) method you still need to keep the time in the kettle as part of the equation. (In other words; 7.5AAU added at 60 minutes is not the same as 7.5AAU added at 15)
