Hey guys-
I have a recipe for an Old Peculiar clone from the Homebrewers Recipe Guide. It recommends using 1 cup of blackstrap molasses in the boil and one cup for priming. I've picked up from the forums that blackstrap is pretty potent in flavor but the amounts here seem reasonable.
For priming, do you boil the one cup of molasses like the corn sugar? Does that help to reduce the sulfite content? Will that sterilize it? Thanks!
