Doggie Yeast propagation

I'm planning a Dogfish Head 90 minute IPA clone and wanted to harvest some Doggie Yeast from one of there beers. Does anyone have any ideas about which Dogfish Head beers would have the yeast or at least be a good start? I'm aware an actual 90 Minute IPA would be ideal, but I wasn't sure if they were fermented exclusively with Doggie yeast or if they brewed any particular beers that exclusively used doggie yeast.

Good luck.....there are only 2 of dogfish head beers that are bottle conditioned, of which are not ones that readily available. Most of their beers are filtered and Forced carbed, so no yeast in the bottle...I have used the Ringwood ale yeast(1187) with Dogfish clones with great success...

I've done this recipe with the ringwood and it did turn out pretty good. I just wanted to try something a little different. Which of there beers are bottle conditioned?

Squall and Liquor de Malt are the ones I'm aware of... the higher ABV may pose an issue in being able to reprop healthy yeast from the dregs. If you've played around with yeast before, might as well give it a try, but not sure that you will get better results than what you've already done with other yeast.

It may not work out perfect but you never know until you try, right? I have some ringwood ale yeast as well as some fresh top cropped California ale yeast from a less alcoholic, less hoppy brew which would probably be ideal. I appreciate the tips. I can only imagine myself sitting in front of a starter for a week wondering why I couldn't get yeast from a DFH 60 min IPA.

Check out Extremebrewing.com they have a clone kit. I haven't tasted it but, I know that Sam and the owner of the homebrew shop made the kit up.

Well, for the ones that aren't bottle conditioned, I think you'd be able to tell by the lack of sediment on the bottom

I just bought a couple pints of DFH's witbier, Namaste. One of the bottles had a 1/4 inch of yeast caked on the bottom. So I just wanted to get that info up on the site that I'm pretty certain Namaste is bottle conditioned. I've certainly never seen a bottling strain cake up like this.
It has a fairly clean yeasty smell. I can't say for certain that the yeast used in this witbier is the same as they use in the 60, 90 or 120, but it's definitely not an estery belgian yeast. I have a starter harvested from the Namaste bottle going along side of a starter of WLP530 Abbey Ale yeast and they're not even in the same ball park.
