WLP008 - East Coast Ale

Tue Jan 25, 2011 2:19 pm

Anyone else brewed with this? I have tried it on a few ales and I am thoroughly unimpressed. It fermented fine, but the flavor is no where near what I expected. In each beer, I find the taste of the yeast overwhelming and marginalizing the hop and malt character. If the malt comes through it just tastes overly sweet. Normally use 001. I think I'm going back. Just curious what others think.
