English/American ale no crystal

I decided to make a beer that finished off my sack of Maris Otter (59%) and added Victory, Munich (15% each) and a tiny bit of Black barley malt (1%.) I mashed at 150 f and hopped it up with an equal mixture of English and American hops, 1.054, 54 IBUs, English ale yeast.

What have I made?!

Sounds like it'll be an amber ale of some kind. Your IBUs seem a little high for the gravity. That's also a lot of Victory malt. But, might turn out okay. Wait and see, I guess.

What'd you do with the other 10% of your grist?

:D

Sounds like some sort of English IPA depending on which and how much american hops you used. Mashing that low, you may lose a bit of body but maybe that malt bill will make up for the lack of crystal.

I have to agree with De-Geert...I think it might be beer. I'm sorry.
