we only have two LHBS's in the traverse City area. One is the back part of a hat store with a little more wine making stuff than brew stuff. I used to get the majority of my stuff there since the other is a liquor store that used to have limited quantities. Until I started coming in. I think ive been the best customer lately. And they havnt jacked theyre hop prices yet either.
I went into them a couple days ago and did a good size bulk barley order. He only had the 07 price list but said since i was a loyal customer, he would give me the last years prices. As in what he was buying them for, but instead of marking up 50%, only 15%. Great guy, even better deals cut for me. Ive got a little over 350 lbs coming of assorted barley and grains.
Now i just have to get him to supply liquid yeast instead of just the basic muntons or coopers brewers yeast. Either way he's my favorite dealer.

Not to mention i just placed a good sized order through B3 for a bunch of specialty grains and yeast. I should be set for a while-Brew strong-Crut

Good thing you got that motor for the grain mill, 350 lbs is a lot to crank by hand

According to my calc's with the old coffee grinder, at 2.777 lbs per minute, it would take me "972.22" hours to grind it. I'm pretty sure my arm would fall off by then!
