Ive had nothing short of spectacular service from Listermanns.com
Dan ships free east of the Mississippi and the order amount is 35$ minimum.
Im not sure about Canadian shipping, but its a perfect reliable source of free shipping fresh brew products for us non- west coasters.

Yes, please support our sponsors, morebeer and NB. Between the two shops you will have access to everything you need. Forget about everyone else! Oh yeah, and when you do order please thank them for sponsoring!

Yeah, and support your local homebrew shop too. On brew day you might need something. You never know when you'll break your hydrometer and your spare hydrometer on the same day because you're brewing when you're totally pissed.

(Not that um... that's happend to me.... um...)

numsquat wrote:I use both MoreBeer and Northernbrewer. There are a few things that one or the other store (example would be some difference in specialty grains) don't carry or there's a benefit using one over the other. Examples: I order my liquid yeast from NB because it's one day shipping (if you order noon one day you will get it the next day) for ground orders where I live (NW Iowa) versus 5 days from MoreBeer. I also order my sacks of grain from NB because the shipping is less (plus it still cost less than round trip to Des Moines or Omaha). I use MoreBeer for hardware and specialty grains mainly. Always wait until I have an order big enough for the free shipping.

Yeast shipping is the thing that pisses me off the most. I order from NB the most and B3 for the rest, lately it seems that I can get stuff from B3 in 3 days via USPS Priority mail but since NB doesn't offer USPS I have to wait a full week to get anything from them. Unfortunately, I like Wyeast so I'm stuck ordering from NB and hoping my yeast doesn't croak while sittingin the back of a dark brown truck over the weekend! F-in UPS sucks, B3 is 3 times as far from me as NB but shipping takes half as long.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot during my rant, I get my bulk grain from North Country Malt. I got together with a couple other brewers in my area and we got a couple dozen sacks on a pallet, shipping worked out to $5 per sack last winter. I'm going to be organizing another pallet in a few weeks.

Dave have you tried dealing with midwest supplies just across the river from northern. I deal with them a lot and usally get my order from them in 2 days thats from them to me out in the beer desert in ks. They ship with fed ex normally but I know customers that have called and they have shipped with other companies. Might be worth a shot and the big plus is they have both liquid yeast companies.
