Distiller grains

Fri Nov 02, 2012 8:53 am

I am looking for distiller grains, you know, good used up grain. Does anyone have some they want to get rid of?? I am looking to find these in Stockton, modesto, merced, the foothills of CA. Can anyone help? I have the ability to take a ton at a time.

Anyone tossing it and would like to help me out????

let me know

Just a thought from a homebrewer listening to the farm reports every morning in Topeka, check with any ethanol plants in your area if they already don't have a contract in your area. If you don't have an ethanol plant or local brewpub in your area, widen your search, they may be your only source of used feed grains in your area. The way feed prices are going, I don't blame you for asking around. C'mon Army, lets see how we can help complete the cycle!

California have something economical like ethanol? I wish!!! I don't know of any in the Sacramento valley (sacramento to fresno).

Thank you though..great thought.

Sue, what are you using them for? Livestock feed? Many breweries will work out arrangements with local farmers who will take their spent grain.
