I've not tried it, but heard it's not very good. Kind of like beer made with baking yeast is typically not very good.

Each is bred for their own application. Bakers yeast is there to make lots of CO2 quickly. Beer yeast is there to make flavor and alcohol and CO2, but not so quickly.

Of course, the only way to know for sure is for you to try and let us know what happens!

I keep my yeast and vacuum packed hops in the fridge. My hops don't last that long before they get used.
