wheat malt substitute

Fri Mar 02, 2012 5:10 pm

I am planning on brewing a Berliner Weisse from BCS. I realized that i came up about 1.5 pound short of malted wheat, with no LHBS. Rather than waiting and paying shipping for the grain. I was wondering if there are grocery store alternatives.

Possibly some unsweetened plain puffed wheat cereal. That's torried wheat, and as long as it's plain (not fortified, etc) you can brew with it.
