Patriot Hops

Mon Feb 21, 2011 6:44 pm

I picked up a couple ounces of Patriot hops from the Beer & Cheese Fest a couple weeks ago. Now I've totally forgotten what the dude said these were a hybrid of. Anyone used these before and have any suggestions of what to use them in? :bnarmy: :bnarmy:

Patriot hops are a product of Gorst Valley Hops in Wisconsin. They are a mix of US grown EKG, Sterling and Brewer's Gold. My batch of 2010 crops have an alpha acid of 4.7%, beta of 6.3%. The description is "...has a traditional english hop aroma while maintaining high alpha, giving it some American characteristics as well..."

Hope that helps...
