Berliner weisse and Raspberries

Sat Jun 11, 2011 12:34 pm

I have 5 gallons of Berliner I would like to add raspberries to. Anyone ever done this before? When did you add them and how many raspberries did you add? Did the berries help the beer? Would you increase or decrease your berries if you were to do it again? Thanks for any advice. How long did it take the berries to ferment out? Thanks for the help.

it depends on the raspberries you plan on using.
i use about a 1-1.5 kgs to a 23L batch of farm fresh berries, where as the supermarket ones we get over here need about twice that as a start.
