Re: What's the right way to brew with coffee?

Back when I till kit brewed I made a coffee stout by adding a pot of very strong-brewed starbujcks french roast to the boil at flameout. Turned out really well, even when I found a bottle a year later it was a good as some of the better coffee brews I had. That said, it uses a lot more coffee than some of these other techniques. I think it was 12 rounded tablespoons of frfench roast in 12 cups.

I know that founders breakfast stout is excellent and they add beans straight to the beer, some at flame out and some into the secondary. Check out the details here http://www.byo.com/stories/issue/articl ... tout-clone

also a recent cybi site did terrapin coffee stout so give that a listen
