Where to get kegs

It looks like Mort filled you all in on Thanksgiving and our first all grain. Mort likes playing the part of the expert. I wouldn't have been so dumbfounded about it if Mort had shared the books. He has had his nose in those books since he got them and he did the all grain thing in Montana. He better know what to do better than me!

I'm on a mission to buy more kegs. Mort has two for his beer refrigerator and he wants two more. I want at least four. Should we have extras? I was thinking we should have at least four extra each to have beer brewed up ahead of time. So I would be looking for 12-14 kegs. Is ebay the best place to get them? Are there other places that sell kegs where maybe I could get a deal for buying so many?

eBay can be good, but prices are really volatile there plus you don't always get decent kegs. For consistently good deals on kegs i would go with http://www.brewersdiscount.com/

I have purchased from them a number of times. They even have a sale going on right now. Their shipping charges are also reasonable.

Should you get more kegs.... PSHA!
Having too many kegs is like having too much money... although the two usually cancel each other out.

Milt,

Where do you live? I come across corny kegs all the time, as I am in the beverage business. Right now, I have probably 25 or so in my garage. I live in Milwaukee. Depending on where you are, you might be able to save on shipping.

Thank you mr. Big. I will keep that in mind. I finally got through this morning to the general manager of a pepsi bottler fairly close to my house. He said they still have some odds and ends of kegs and parts they have been holding onto. I guess they still are trickling back in. As soon as we get a break in the weather I am driving over there about 60 miles away. I would tell you where but then I might have to kill you until I get what I need.

Milt called this morning as he was leaving. He's off to the pepsi bottler sixty miles from here. He is convinced they have a stash of kegs there. He is crazy. It's zero degrees here and been snowing off and on the last few days. There is a winter advisory against travel and he is off on a quest. I told him to pick up some good beer while he is there. At least if he crashes on the way home, there will be incentive for me to go find his dumb butt.
