Regulator low is 12psi

I got a regulator from a friend when I started kegging. It won't go below 12 psi. Is there a way to fix this? I don't want to take it apart an ruin it without knowing what's up.

Honestly don't know how to fix that, sorry. But I will say 12 psi isn't the end of the world. Just shut the tank off when your at the carb level you want.

When you say it won't go below 12psi, I guess the question is if that is an issue with the dial read, or the gas regulation.

Never thought of it that way. The needle will drop to 0 when not pressurized, but when I turn the screw all the way out, and turn the gas on, it jumps immediately to 12. I know it's not the end of the world, I'm just weird that way.

Same result. Do you think it's the regulator or the gauge?

My money is that it is the bladder inside the regulator, fairly cheap fix.
