Garage sale CO2 Regulators

Hey, All,
I recently scored a bucket (yes, a bucket) of old CO2 gauges, regulators, secondary regulators, manifolds, splitters, etc.
I haven't spent much time looking at these guys, but I'm at the point where I'm going to start needing them. I'm wondering how one goes about cleaning the manifolds and regulators? They’re really dusty, filled with spider webs, etc. I'm thinking that I can give the manifolds a good PBW soaking, but I'm afraid to take the regulators apart. Any advice?

regulators look complicated but there isn't much to them. Take the gauges off, them take them apart and give them a good cleaning.

most of them look something like this inside

When taking these apart, you should probably think about rebuilding them at the same time. It is the same amount of work as taking them apart and cleaning. Kits are readily available. http://www.williamsbrewing.com/REGULATO ... cfm?Page=2

Thanks! I guess I'll try pulling them apart. What have I got to lose? They didn't cost that much.
I appreciate the feedback.

I know that if I tried to take one of those suckers apart I'd probably forget to put back a spring or washer, or lose something tiny and would fuck it all up leading to destruction of "marital bliss" at home...
