I just used silicone. If I decide to make it just a chest freezer again (not likely) then it may take a little scraping, but it will come off easy enough.

Nah, it just will pour slower than it needs to. The idea is to have 3-4 pounds at the tap, while still having about 12 for your typical APA at the keg. If you do a Belgian or some other high carbed beer, then you need an even longer line - or one of those "resistive" lines that were just recently discussed (yesterday?). Staying cold all the way to the tap is another important thing - which isn't much of a problem for those of use with taps sticking right out the door or on the collar. But if you have a draft tower - you do yourself right to get a squirrel cage (yeah, squirrels!) air blower and some 1" duct pipe to blow cool air from the fridge up to the tap box.

Sorry, couldn't pass this one up. I don't have any problem getting some head. :) You can always drop the glass down a few inches to start the head, and bring it back up to finish the pour. Then if you are one of those slick Belgian folks you can "slice" off the head with a knife... frickin sweet.
