Anchor using "non twist off" plastic bottles...

Thu May 24, 2007 11:32 am

While playing golf yesterday in San Francisco, I was given an Anchor Steam in a plastic bottle, and was quite surprised to see that the bottle still used a "non twist off cap" (homebrew potential). Since I had two competition entries break during transit last year, would these bottles be okay to use for future entries, or would a competition frown on the use of plastic from an esthetics point of view?
I am thinking of contacting Anchor about purchasing some of these bottles (empty of full), or getting contact information on a source.
What do you think?

I would think they'd be dq'd because they're too distinct right now.

Well hopefully these will be acepted soon since last night I found a great way to get some of these bottles: my kids are "grubs" and following last night's SF Giants game (which they lost) I sent my two boys (5 and 7) to search our section, and they found 10+. I had to stop them since it looked pretty bad, but they were very excited, I guess it was almost as fun as Geocaching.
Have a great Memorial weekend.
