I'd love to hear a review of these fermentap things because they look like they might be cool, but I never hear them mentioned on the BN.

My understanding is that the idea is great, but there's just not enough steepness to the slope inside the carboy. The yeast never falls all the way down. You end up with all the yeast and trub stuck on the "shoulders", not down in the neck, leaving you with an even harder time trying to rack the beer off the trub than if you had just done it the 'normal' way.
