I thought I was advanced by adding a lever to my single burner so that I don't have to adjust the gas valve with a wrench. That panel is awsome.

These are kick ass. They even come with a five foot thermister probe.

When I build my I'll give you full credit for stealing your idea. But now I'm gonna gather up all my Jameco magazines and burn 'em. I bet you could sell the shit out of these things. Nice.

Here you go:

rich wrote:What purpose does the AC Voltage meter play?
Fluff.
rich wrote:Did you use a 555 timer for the time remaining panel?
I modified a kit from here: http://www.canakit.net/Contents/Items/CK247.asp
rich wrote:The HLT and mash tun panels are sweet. Are they PIC progammed.
Just on/off Love TS controls (Cole Parmer.com)
rich wrote:How are you gonna integrate your thermometers into these PIC panels?
They feed into thermowells in the HLT and Mash Tun through XLR connectors
rich wrote:The face plate looks powder coated. Nice job on the counter-sunk mount holes. How did you impose the controls labeling?
Actually it's 12 guage aluminum with a coat of primer, 2 coats of flat black, silk-screened lettering and 5 coats of satin polycrylic clear coat.
rich wrote:The pump on led seems redundant with the ledded power switch.
It is. Fluff it up some more.

Shit-Howdy! Me too!

I'm being hammered for a how-to. When I finish documenting it I will post it here.

Brew it and then

I was going to comment on the AC voltmeter. But hey, if I had it laying around I'd add it too just 'cause it looks cool.

For panels (cutouts, etc.) think http://www.frontpanelexpress.com, those guys are amazingly cheap for professionally cut & finished metal stock.

Nice job!

Good Lord,

If you switch that thing on, you will find yourself travelling into the far distant future and headed for a spot of trouble with the Daleks :D

I am NOT that good at this stuff; serously. I took a four-week basic electronics maintenance course in college 15 years ago.

If you want to do anything like it and need help just let me know; I'm in. I am truly more than willing to help you with it.

BTW, here's one we did for Sven a few weeks ago for his stand:

C-fool! Wow, that place rocks. I wish I had known about that a month ago! :)

I'll replicate the panel there and see what it would have cost (saved) me to go that route.

Thanks,
Charlie

Push Eject,

How do you control the remp in the mash-tun. Do you use electrical heating, RMS/HERMS or a regulated gas burner?
