Ah, but the Surgeon's bill to repair sliced tendons when the carboy breaks is much more expensive. I know, I know. Maybe you have never broke one but just read the forums long enough and many people do end up in the emergency room.

Cornies will work as a fermenter but what a hassle to clean. There was talk at one time that the hieght to width ration was to large but I don't know if I buy that.

Why the adversion to the simple plastic bucket?
