Well I just got notification that my order has been completed... dunno exactly what that means, but there ya go. I'm hoping for a nice, high quality stirbar retriever.

Ok... Here is the deal from RedOrbit Customer support. I emailed them and told them of the "mix up" on the description of thier stir plate and asked for either a full refund or sell me the stirplate for the advertised price.

Here is thier response.

Hello Chris,

It seems that you were trying to purchase this item:

http://shopping.redorbit.com/product.ph ... t=0&page=1

The stir PLATE is $169.95. Unfortunately, the manufacturer would not be able to sell you such an expensive item for $8.95. As is our policy for all customers who are unhappy with their purchase, we issued a full refund to your credit card this morning. When the shipment arrives, please simply refuse delivery.

We truly apologize for the confusion, and we wish you the very best in the future! Please let us know if there is anything more we can do to help.

They were very quick about resolving my inquiry and even left a message on my home phone stating the above.

I would really prefer if it was a stir bar rather than a retriever... I am not moronic enough to pitch my stir bars as it is. (Read GUCCI)

Yeah, how about fixing your broken website! As of now, the wrong items are still listed just as they were a few days ago except for the "out of stock" note they attached to it.

No wonder they are out of stock. Had quite a suprise run on stir bar retrievers and stir bars over the last couple of days, didn't they?

I got my bar retriever today. It looks like a magic wand. Maybe if I wave it, a stir plate will magically appear. I'll let you know....

No luck.
