Good call, Carlton. I was going to go ahead and place an order, but figured that they just f-ed up their picture/description. Good luck to those who did order though!

I have no morals. You put a product and a price on your site I will hold you to it. I expect to get a stir plate. Anything else is no good and I will get a refund. I used a credit card so I can stop payment that way if I have to.

I run a web site for my wife's biz. If I fuck up a price then I suck it up and send them what they got. That is my fault. We'll see what happens

Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.

That is a valid point. I'm passing judgement or anything, Lufah, and I'm probably a sucker for not jumping on the bandwagon considering the power in numbers in this thread.

This whole thread is very interesting. What's more interesting is that people are will to submit there credit card numbers to a deceidedly questionable purchase. Good luck.

I use one card for the web that I have fraud protection on. I've had my number stolen twice now and no problem getting the charges taken off.

I use Discover. Discover issues a brand new number for each online purchase. Even if these guys weren't legit, they'd have a worthless number. Also, they've got a Verisign key, so if they partake in fraud, it'll be pretty easy to track them down.

The company does (due to Verisign, etc.) seem legit. They just need to fire their web guy for screwing up the item discriptions.

Good find.

I now realized that the picture/decription mix-up is what happened and that there is little chance to actually get a stir-plate since shipping is done by item number as Speyedr pointed out :(

If I would have realized that earlier, I would not have ordered, but I wanted to get in on the deal, if there was one. And yes I stand to that fact that I wanted to take advantage of their mistake and I don't seem to have any problem doing this with on-line deals or big coorporations. The non-existing personal relationship seems to help this.

My Credid Card has not been charged yet. Has anybody else's ?
