Dumpster diving is a hobby I have had since long before I began brewing beer. The other day it paid off big time. Next to the dumpster behind a closed down and now vacant bowling alley was a 20# CO2 tank! No stickers of any kind to indicate ownership so I decided to give it a home. Since the certification had expired, I couldn't take it to my usual refill place because they would have charged me for a recertification, plus I would have had to have made another 50 mile round trip to pick it up after leaving it overnight. I stopped at AirGas and they exchanged tanks with no questions asked. Only charged me $16 for gas (compared to the $12 refills at the other place). But hey, where can you get a full tank of CO2 and a current tank at a better price than that?

My problem now is that I don't need another tank. My other 3 are almost full.

Man that is a hell of a find. Well done.

Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.
