Those things do work pretty cool but I found they have some limitations (though probably not applicable in how we would use them).

At work we put in a big RO system. We routed one RO water line over to our nice new coffee maker because our regular water made really crappy coffee. However, that coffee maker had one of these electronic float switches in it to tell the machine when to stop adding water to the preheat tank.

The RO water is so devoid of minerals that it didn't have enough conductivity to actuate the switch so it would know when to shut the water off. Needless to say we had a big flood in the kitchen while I was trying to fix breakfast for about 100 folks!

I don't see any problem with using this with wort. Just don't use it in your HLT with all RO water.

So that's your system, eh Push? I've been digging the wort-o-matic for awhile. You've some nice features. Well done!
