Plastic Disconnects

Fri May 05, 2006 6:51 am

I am looking for info about disconnects I just called Foxx equipment- a wholesaler, as I can "piggy-back" an order - when I order for work.. - and their plastic QD's are rated to 180F- but they look the same as these at more beer -
http://morebeer.com/product.html?product_id=17379 are rated way past boiling.

I''d like QDs on my HLT MLT and Boil Kettle... - so I could move my strike water, and boiled wort- (ready to be chilled) with a pump. Any recomendations?

I think I am too cheap for brass.
Thanks.

I couldn't find them on their web site but the key is the type of plastic. B3 sells them made with Polysulfone, a high temp plastic. If it's the same, then you're okay. If not, post it here and I ill tell you what to expect (20 yrs in plastics).
