Starting my brutus build question about gas lines

Just like the title states, I am starting to plan my brutus build. My question is regarding the gas lines. I guess the question is, does it NEED to be stainless? Can it be black pipe? Can it be the synthetic stuff? Everything that the wort comes into contact with will be stainless where I can make it stainless.

I plan to make a full detailed thread of my build when the time comes. Right now im trying to figure it all out and get it planned. I am obsessive when it comes to planning. haha!

Black pipe will work fine, that's what I used, and been using mine over 2 years now.

I used gas hose for mine. The store cut it to length and mounted fittings on the ends...

Awesome.

Which is what I am also considering. I haven't priced everything out, but I think that stainless gas line is out of the question, for sure.

Thanks!

Black pipe is cheap and it works great, just be sure to use both teflon tape and paste on all your connections.

No need for that... They make teflon tape that is yellow, that is specifically for applications with gas. I have, however, always preferred to use the "pipe dope" paste for gas, as that is what most natural gas plumbers use.
