here are some pics of my electric rims system. hot liquor tank is on the bottom and uses a standard stove element. i have float switches in the mash/lauter tun for sparge level and one in the output of the hot liquor tank should it run dry it stops the pump. i've upgraded the ranco controllers to a plc and upload the mashing programs via pc. now i hit a button and it handles the temperature changes and timing. the downside is i have to carry wort outside to boil.

if you're refering to mine, yes. i build titanium bikes here in Steamboat and i'll tell you, titanium is a lot nicer to weld than stainless. the lower tank is the hot liquor tank and it's very thin and was a bitch. i welded a spigot onto my heavy boil kettle and it went much easier. both were done from the inside.

like i said, i've upgrade the electronics to a programable logic controller and don't have to set timers or temperature changes.

If me then I have to say no. I farmed out the welding. My neighbor sourced the steel and did all of my welding for me. I am very grateful for his services. And he is very grateful for my beer. Everybody wins!

I was actually referring to wildbill's stand, but booth systems are making me drool. I'm on my way to getting my system up to par. Over the last winter I got moved down into the basement. Got the vent hood hooked up and the sink installed. It is amazing how much more fun my brewday is when I don't have to run up and down stairs to and from the sink. I'm still on a crab cooker and have to move things up and down for the gravity feeding, but all will come in time. I keep tell brewgirl ,(the wife), that all of these new toys are really only for repeatability and not at all for my personal enjoyment...I think it's working. As long as the beer is good, she's happy. So when I get a batch that doesn't work out so good I blame it on my crappy equipment and I cant get some cool new stuff.

I might as well add mine to this thread. The control panel is only temporarily on the stand, in the future it will be built into the brewstand with start timers, brew timers and bells and whistles...
