Aeration Question

On the aeration show JZ recommended an oxygen flow meter/regulator appropriate for your oxygen set-up. What sort of flow meter/regulator (and hook up) are they talking about.
I'm currently using the small red O2 cans.
Also, what is the difference between the meters and the regulators?

The regulator and said meter are essentially one in the same. The meters he refers to are the O2 delivery systems used for healthcare.(Visit a retirement home..everyone's got one) They can be purchased through medical suppliers or cheapest on craiglist/fleabay. Although the tanks are expensive and you need to find someone to refill them. Another thing..the gas in the red cans are typically the same gas you get for medical gas. It has been said that welding O2 has a small amount of oil mixed in for the equipment. If this is a concern, use a filter in-line to capture it.

Welding oxygen does not have any amount of oil mixed in with it. That would be very dangerous. Industrial grade oxygen is the same as medical grade oxygen, with the exception of documented testing of the gas. On the regulator side I use a pediatric regulator because of the smaller increments. But I am not sure if you have a standard "CGA (Compressed Gas Assoc.)" fitting on your red cylinder.

That would work just fine if it has the same connection to the cylinder. The connection on that regulator is a CGA 870 yoke.
