Well I did brew it this evening, just finished up. Hit my mash temp of 148. My OG came in at 1.065, close enough to 1.066. Pitched an active WLP007 starter at 67 degrees. The color of this beer looks pretty damn close to the real thing from my memory. I should have went out and bought a 22 of A.B. while the mash was going on.

I brewed this yesterday as well with a pound of carapils thrown in for good measure. Hit my 1.069 OG perfectly and the hydro sample tasted absolutely wonderful! First time using Special B and it won't be the last. Cooling the wort down to 67 degrees right now and will aerate and pitch two S-04 packets sometime this afternoon. Can't wait for this one to be on tap!

How many volumes of CO2 do you think this beer should be carbed to?

I'm brewing this clone tomorrow but I'm a little unsure of what water profile to use. I was thinking of using tasty's apa water or just using my normal water which doesn't contain much off anything and adding some gypsum.

Just kegged my CYBI Arrogant bastard.

OG: 1.065
FG: 1.012

ABV: 6.95%

I have not had the real thing in quite some time so I will wait til mine is fully carbed before having a side by side comparison. By memory, I think the real thing is more bitter. I may use gypsum next time.

Color may be lighter than the real thing. Tell me what you think of the color. I did my best to get natural light shot and artificial light.

Looks tasty beerpressure! You might have missed the bitterness if you failed to adjust your hops for age degradation. This can easily be done on Promash or beersmith (this is the one you use, right?). You would be surprised how much AA% can degrade in a years time since harvest. Please save me a taste of this one!

Come to the next club meeting, or I could bring some over to your place. I've got a tripel, christmas ale, oaked old ale, dunkel, and the arrogant bastard for you to try.
